Russia is a country with a difficult fate in the religious sphere. If a thousand years ago, the transition from paganism to Christianity took place within the framework of global traditions, one hundred years ago, the overthrow of the Christian religion and its replacement with the communist one took place in an absolutely barbaric and insane way. One can endlessly argue about the merits of Christianity or communism, but what happened in the USSR at that time was a terrible process with the barbaric destruction of history, architectural monuments and the persecution of people for their personal convictions. But the twentieth century ended, and with it the communist ideology ended. It again became normal to believe not only in Lenin, but also in the more traditional world gods. At some point, it became generally fashionable to get rid of party cards and publicly announce the return to the bosom of the Russian Orthodox Church. Sincerity of such aspirations is on the conscience of specific people. Maybe they really, being Party Communists, secretly prayed-baptized, maybe not - for such a word it is not customary to condemn.
Almost three decades have passed since the ROC had the opportunity to actively develop and fight for the minds of its citizens. The priests are again declared teachers, shepherds of human souls. They intervene in almost all spheres: they help missiles not to be broken, they sanctify soldiers going to war, explain how to teach children in schools and what citizens of the country should do in their daily lives. The Orthodox Church is confidently fighting for influence over minds, positioning itself as the only source of wisdom. "You do not know what to do? Come to us! We will explain how you should live! However, you can not come - we will stand next to you and look at you, we will advise."
It is worth noting that the ROC, previously a practically forbidden organization, has become somewhat annoying in imposing the only right way of life. And, it would seem, why not listen to good advice? However, the ROC categorically calls to obey professional clergymen and not to doubt their infallibility. Here are just the speeches and deeds of these holy people at times, at best, cause bewilderment and surprise at the isolation from real life.I offer you a selection of statements of the clergy in recent times. Words and sentences not torn out from the context, not manipulations with facts, but simply statements of public people on various events and occasions in the country.
In Novosibirsk University, nude statues covered with cloth before the visit of the delegation of the Russian Orthodox Church. Participants of the event explained this by the unwillingness to "hurt the feelings" of church representatives. The senior priest of the Intercession Church, Archpriest Alexander Matruk, commented on the situation with the statues hidden from the eyes of believers:
"Why are these sculptures standing there? Why are they there? Art? So what, what is art! Different people have different views on art. I think the university management did the right thing by ordering to cover these sculptures. It's one thing when people are here study, who write from nature and from these sculptures, because it is included in their educational program. Another thing, when external people came, most of them churchly, were also representatives of parishes. Nothing should embarrass a person. "
Igumen Vitaly (Utkin), Secretary of the Academic Council of the Ivanovo-Voznesensky Seminary, Head of the Missionary Department of the Ivanovo-Voznesenskaya Diocese:
"And I think we were right when we entered Czechoslovakia in 1968.Then our borders were on the Elbe, and now - far east of the Dnieper.
The operation to seize Czechoslovak airfields on August 20, 1968 is magnificent. In general, the movement of two whole fronts then showed a very high combat readiness of the Soviet army.
As far as I understand from the comments, the geopolitical interests of the USSR are uninteresting to those present. They would like it to never exist at all, and in Moscow was an American garrison? Not?"
In Syzran, the local diocese monitors the Internet in search of extremism. The priests declare that they are browsing the entire Internet and they know about the groups of "Blue Whales" firsthand. Archpriest Mikhail Gordeev:
"The Church on any idea of extremism offers a brighter and more attractive idea."
The priest Alexander Shumsky, a member of the Writers' Union of Russia, a candidate of pedagogical sciences, talks about Schnure in pink shorts:
"In the song" Putin "(" Putin, of course, sorry ") The cord in pink shorts is trying to mock the president of the country. Pink shnurovskie pants, by the way - a signal for Russian sexual minorities: they say, guys, I'm with you! I think it is time to calm this "louse of the nether" (as VV Rozanov would say). The cord is the guise of servile rabble rising from the bottom of life, ready to refill Russia with blood again. I really would not want my beloved Peter to associate with the younger generation with such characters as Cord and his ilk. Petersburg - the city of Pushkin and Dostoevsky. So he must remain forever. "
Head of the Synodal Department of the Russian Orthodox Church, Archpriest Dimitry Smirnov:
“We want our president to do what he did in the Soviet Union, so that no vile sect could act like at home! And then the Mormons come, the Jehovah’s Witnesses ... They used to sit in prisons. So that this foreign scum, which is a financial pyramid, is absolutely unscrupulous. They are really people who are brainwashed. But the state must be protected by the people. The people are not prepared for this, the forces are unequal. yourself spend on this about time, money, resources of acquaintances. It is necessary to do this so that the earth burns under the feet of these freaks! ... The people must take power into their own hands! And the media, and the laws, and finances. "

The Archbishop of Syktyvkar and Komi-Zyryansky Pitirim loves to write poetry.Once he compared himself with Pushkin, stating that Pushkin had written 2500 poems in his entire life, and Pitirim himself - 2000 poems in three years. Below is one of the examples of the archbishop's work.
The priest goes, but all is not known.
On the jeep rushes to get so smog.
Roads in the pits, and so every day,
How else to reach the villages?
Who will say yes yes yes
Why churches waste.
Around the trouble, yes, yes,
The machine is not happy.
But why should they all
Machines sorry for the temple.
And not to gossip for more topics.
Tired priest, but only lay down
From the village distant wake-up call.
Again communion, and confession awaits,
Who will leave life an hour later.
But if the weak car was,
She did not drive to the patient.
Again they would say that God did not help.
My friend, do not be so strict with the priests.

"When a person needs to understand his life or his public life, his place is not on the barricades, not behind the tribunes of polemics and far-wrong politicians who behave, his place in the church, in prayer at the revealed Holy Scriptures, because only there can he learn the correct answers of his life. "
This summer, a bill was introduced in the State Duma that exempts clergymen from the obligation to fulfill the requirements of the law “On Special Evaluation of Working Conditions” in terms of meeting the requirements of light, temperature and other standards in the workplace. The head of the legal service of the Moscow Patriarchate, Abbess Xenia (Chernega), spoke out very interestingly about this initiative:
"The assessment of the conditions of service of clerics and religious personnel, that is, altar men, singers, ponomaars, cannot be regulated by law and carried out by outside organizations. Our initiative is connected with attempts by labor inspections to bring religious communities to administrative responsibility - a fine of 80 thousand rubles. For avoiding certification of workplaces of clergy and religious personnel. Temples and altars are not a workplace, but a place of prayer and ministry. "
Do not confuse Archpriest Alexy Chaplin with the more famous namesake - also Archpriest - Vsevolod Chaplin. Alexy Chaplin is the archpriest of the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin in the village of Zhukovo. Here are his judgments about pension reform:
"It is our sins that have overflowed the cup of God's wrath and cry out to heaven for revenge. In such a situation, it’s time to start thinking how to keep the answer before God, and not to pass away old age. Pension reform is only a precursor of much more terrible social punishment. This is punishment God’s calling for correction, but not yet the penalty itself. Therefore, one should not whimper and not grumble at the injustice of the state, but in a Christian way thank the Lord for the sorrows, which, by their sins, are acceptable and bring God a worthy fruit of repentance so that it does not with n E then the worst ".

Metropolitan of Pskov and Porkhov Eusebius about the sinful essence of the European Union:
"The enemy of the human race is striving to tear the holy faith away from people, to divert the people from God, from the Church and from the shrines. We hear that now both Greece and our Orthodox neighbors belong to the European Union. But in another way, the European Union, otherwise you will not call it because in this alliance they declare and call precisely for the sin of Sodom. And the conditions are set for Russia, Ukraine, Georgia and Serbia - accept this corruption, and then you will join the union. Why do we need to enter into some kind of union? to the holy catholic Apostolic Church. Here is our Christian family, this is our home of grace This is where we dwell under the cover of the Mother of God. We should not enter into any unions if this union is without reverence and worship of a strong, living God.And this alliance is the sin of Sodom, which corrupts society, and in the end destroys humanity. This will be the last stage of life on earth if Russia enters there. "
Bishop Mitrofan (Badanin) hacks the uterus about the Russian mat:
"Considering that our body is 90% water, you can understand what happens to our body when it collides with swearing. We become sick, as can be seen from the draftees. Our genes mutate under the influence of this terrible force. impotent, but a woman's hormonal background changes and she turns into a peasant. This dependence is like a drug. Without a mat, foul language can neither think nor act. The power of the mat gives it courage and subjugates the Prince of Darkness. "

First Deputy Chairman of the Synodal Department for Church Relations with Society and the Media, Alexander Schipkov, on the Bohemian dictatorship:
“Who is an actor? This is a copyist, a person who copies others. But he only copies, he cannot produce anything. And today these copyists try to teach us politics, religion, family life. To impose their own standards of thought. Their spiritual and intellectual baggage from their roles. The level is sometimes low. And today these broadcasts of all channels are filled with these talking oracles. This is what the Bohemian dictatorship looks like. "

Where did all these innovations come from? They come from the West. Is there at least one friend of Russia? Not. And those who promote these programs in our country, it is this kind of NGO that is assigned to "honorary" title "foreign agent."
