Making a textile passport cover

To make a textile cover for a passport, you need a cardboard with a density of 200 g / m2, scrap paper, office paper of purple color, cotton fabric in a section and flowered, lace, decorations, PVA glue, glue stick, transparent polymer glue, scissors with curly and straight blades, scoring tool, ruler.

Cut a rectangle of cardboard with a length of 20 cm and a width of 13.5 cm.

To correctly calculate the size of the rectangle, measure the sides of the passport (in this case, 9x12.5 cm). Double the width and add to the resulting number 2 cm (9cm x 2 + 2 cm = 20 cm). Add 1 cm to the height (12.5 cm + 1 cm = 13.5 cm)
Make bending of the fold line, and two lines on both sides of the fold line with an interval of 2 mm.

Smooth the checkered fabric and cut a rectangle out of it with sides 2 cm larger than the sides of the cardboard rectangle. In this case, 22x15, 5cm.
Apply a thin layer of glue to the cardboard.

Apply a thin layer of PVA glue to the cardboard. Glue the fabric to the cardboard, leaving allowances for the hem.Cut diagonally the corners of the fabric.

Fold and glue to the top and bottom sides of the fabric smeared with PVA glue.

Make sure that the corners of the fabric are not layered, and lay the joint to the joint. Excess fabric can be cut with nail scissors.

Cut a rectangle 13 cm long and 5 cm wide from the checkered fabric. Fold 1 cm and press the short sides of the rectangle inside.

Cut out two rectangles 9x12,5 cm from paper for scrap bookings.

To form pockets of the same paper, cut two rectangles measuring 5x14.5 cm.

Cut the two corners of the long rectangles. To do this, retreat from the edge of the short and one long side by 1 cm and draw lines. From them, retreat 2 mm and draw the parallels that are needed to create a voluminous pocket.

Bend and glue the pockets to the bookends.

For bonding, use glue stick, which, unlike the PVA does not warp the paper. Glue the paper blanks to the cover. Here, use PVA, but apply it not on the paper, but on the cardboard blank.

The final stage - the decoration of the cover. Cut a rectangle (a) from a floral fabric, fold it diagonally (b) and round the base of the resulting triangle (c). The result will be a petal.

Make another 7 petals. Putting one petal on another, form a flower, periodically flashing the middle.

To complete the flower, sew a round button and a heart-shaped button.

Glue on the polymer glue doves and a chain.

Then glue the lace21.jpg, ribbon and textile flower.

From scrap paper cut oval with curly scissors. On the purple office paper print the inscription and cut it with curly scissors. Glue together two blanks.
