Burning Man Art Festival
At each festival there is a wooden stuffed man, which is traditionally burned at the end of the holiday. This year the theme of the event was the Renaissance. That is why the installation reminds Vitruvian man Leonardo da Vinci.
Creative festival participant. One of the ways to express yourself on Burning Man is incredible imagery.
Most installations are highlighted when it gets dark. At night, on the territory of the festival such gigantic words as “house”, “love”, “earth”, “magic” are lit.
On Burning Man everything is possible. For example, climb the sculpture.
One of the hosts of the festival is two massive gorillas made of cardboard.
Fluorescent moving mushrooms.
People can interact with mushrooms and influence how they move. At night, this installation glows from the inside and reacts to the sounds around.
One of the most popular sculptures at the festival. Which of the participants just did not try to ride this hog.
Gramophone La Victrola.
The team of artists created a huge gramophone that played jazz, blues, bluegrass, country and western music at the festival.
Scary giant or cute monster - what do you see in this installation?
A huge sculpture of an octopus.
Medusa - a monster with a female face, whose look, according to legend, turns a person into stone. Snake instead of hair. At night at the festival flames burst from their mouths.
Architectural construction "Tangential dreams".
It took 2 years to plan and build. The winding tower consists of thousands of wooden pieces assembled around a horizontal axis. It has several interpretations: the intertwining of the lines of life, the importance of mathematics in art, the emergence of a new Renaissance, when very complex designs in design can be made at a very low cost.
Architectural building "Mayak".
At night, the building was really filled with light and served as a lighthouse, helping participants to better navigate the festival. At the end of the holiday, the lighthouse was burned, as were many of the installations.
Geometric installation "Golden Heart".
The inspiration for the creation of this project became polyhedra in the works of Leonardo da Vinci.
The fifteen-meter space whale with a cub of steel and colored glass is a symbol of our relationship with nature. The sculpture was created to remind us of the need to preserve the environment and inspire us to create a brighter future for our descendants.
